Suppliers MUST remove all equipment and items by 12.30am, but an extension can be agreed in writing with your Personal Wedding Manager until 8am the following morning. Band & DJ Information
Access
Access for setup is from the rear of the Marquee. Supplier parking is located behind the Marquee and access is through the far end of the main car park. Access to Band / DJ stage is via a path around the back of the Marquee and through a dedicated door.
Sound Limiter
Due to planning restrictions, we are required by the local authority to use a sound limiter for all musical entertainment in the Marquee. The limiter we use is an industry standard device which uses a built-in microphone. It is hung independently from the floor so is not affected by vibrations which can provide false readings. There are sockets directly connected into the sound limiter which all band / DJs sound equipment must be plugged into (no alternative supply is available). The maximum power supply to these sockets is 16A. The sound limiter device is set to around 95dBA – this level is set to provide a maximum level required by our planning constraints for our nearest boundary. Experience has shown that this is more than ample for the Marquee irrespective of the type of act concerned. Above the prescribed limit, a set of lights on the front panel will start to flash, first amber, then red. If the limit is exceeded, the power will be automatically shut down, then reinstated after a few seconds. Please note, the Plum Park Manor staff cannot alter the prescribed sound levels or bypass the limiter. We would strongly recommend setup and sound testing, particularly for bands, prior to the sit-down meal for any event to ensure levels are set prior to start time.
Safety
Safety of our guests is of upmost important to us, so you are required to adhere to our onsite health and safety processes. At the start of the entertainment set, you must announce that NO drinks are to be taken onto the dancefloor to ensure the safety of the guests. You may be required to repeat this announcement at intervals during the entertainment. All electrical equipment must be PAT tested, and copies of certificates emailed to the Plum Park Manor before the event, along with a copy of your Public Liability Insurance. In the event of a Fire, the music must be immediately turned off and you must evacuate though the nearest fire exit and make your way to the assembly point.
Confetti cannons and smoke machines are prohibited. £1000.00 charge will be made if you fail to comply.
Finish Times
All entertainment must be finished by 12 midnight with the last track being played no later than 11.55pm. Failure to finish on time will result in automatic shutdown of the power supply.

Plum Park Manor Testimonials
We got married at Plum Park in October 2023, and it was amazing. The day could not have gone smoother, the whole team knew exactly what they were doing and really supported us through the day. The lead up came with meetings to plan, along with help to ensure that we had everything ready for the big day. The communication from the team couldn't have been better and we honestly felt really supported throughout the lead up. The food was the best, and all our guests enjoyed the food (no one left hungry!) The rooms at the venue were lovely, very clean and comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was amazing! I would definitely recommend Plum Park as the place to get married, they honestly will do everything they can to make sure you have the most magical day. Thank you so much to the whole team!
We had our wedding at Plum Park on 30.09.23 and it was the most amazing day!
The venue and grounds are absolutely stunning. All the guests loved it. And ones that stayed remarked on how lovely their rooms were.
Siobhan is so helpful in the planning process and replies to emails super swiftly. She makes helpful suggestions and shares her thoughts and expertise.
Ella and Jo are fantastic people and they just make the day perfect from start to finish. Everyone noticed how attentive they were. They were always there in the small snippets of the day just supporting us and being kind, it was nice to see them laugh at our best man’s speech too.
The food is great too, after the food tasting me and my husband were as excited for the wedding breakfast as we were the whole day. All the guests loved the food too.
Breakfast the next day is a great touch too and a nice way to have a laugh about the day before with our nearest and dearest.
A huge thank you to all the other staff who I haven’t named who made it so fantastic for us.
Overall I cannot fault anything at Plum Park. It was just the best day!
